About the main cast for Superman & Lois...

https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/44751/superman-lois

...I think there should only be Superman, Lois Lane, and Jonathan and Jordan Kent, as on the poster.

Everyone else should probably be moved from main to guest cast.

This TV show doesn't have opening cast intro so you cannot really tell, but we should probably go by promo posters on this then, which only shows four of them. Those other people under main cast are just recurring characters. Or is there a source from which all these were treated as main cast? Some of them really feel as minor recurring roles for a main cast, imho.

The show has opening credits with an obvious distinction between the main and guest cast. You probably need to pay a bit more attention while watching.

No it doesn't really. Not in a typical sense. There's only brief moment of show's logo with theme. After that there are credits and producers and so on, but are those really all main cast? If they are, then I was wrong, but I've often seen TV shows that mix main cast with other recurring cast in such openings or even in end credits, but the real main cast is usually list of actors in the opening video which is the same throughout the season which this show doesn't have. Maybe what you're saying is right in this case and all of them are main cast, it's just hard to tell when they do it like this. Okay, will see if they do any changes in the next season :) Thanks.

not hard to tell one from the other at all.

aside from that, you could always refer to the official press materials, just to check your hypothesis:
SUPERMAN & LOIS stars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as The Stranger, Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge with Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing.

Location, Location, Location - Episode Guide - All 4 (channel4.com)

Cheers :)

i'd say it's a separate show https://www.channel4.com/press/news/iwc-make-new-location-shows-channel-4
@TomSouthwell what's your take on this?

Damn it, you're absolutely right. I was watching "Broken Trust" (episode 6) when I made this post and I missed Stacey Farber prefixed with "Guest Starring". Sorry, my bad. But many shows have both season opening with main cast plus opening credits like these which can be slightly different but neither mention any guest stars. Dunno why they don't put some more effort into something so simple. But in case of "Superman & Lois" you are correct, everything is quite clean. My bad for thinking it's "one of those cases". Sorry for taking your time.

For the most obnoxious cases, we usually take a discussion to determine the course of action, which is later reflected in the show's wiki. For example https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/518/walking-dead-main-cast-vs-guest
