Weekly calendar out of order

lycanthrope7 wrote 8 years ago: 1

Hi guys,

I haven't really used the weekly calendar much until a couple of weeks ago, but now that I'm using it, I've noticed that it goes Monday to Friday, then Sunday, Saturday. Last time I checked Saturday came before Sunday, not the other way around. I've uploaded a screenshot here to show you what I'm seeing.

Under Site Preferences, make sure you have "Week starts on Sunday (instead of Monday)" checked under "Locale Preferences"

Did I ever tell you I hate timezones? :-)

The thing is that the Detective episode airs on the 2nd and the Dragonball episode on the 3rd, but due to timezone differences the Dragonball episode actually comes first.

If you were to enable the "Display airdates on the calendar and schedule in your local timezone" feature, all episode times & dates are converted to your local timezone so there's no possibility for an ambiguity like this.

If you don't want that yet follow shows from various parts of the world, I'm not even sure if there's any solution that makes complete sense. I guess I'll just make sure that the dates are listed in proper order, and leave the rest of the confusion for your enjoyment :)

LOL, thanks David, that does actually make sense. Would changing it to display airdates in my local timezone have any impact on the dates returned by the API? I'm guessing it wouldn't, but I want to be sure.

No, API data isn't affected.

This should be fixed now, let me know if it's looking alright!
