How does TVmaze handle a series making its title longer?

The Science Channel’s The Planets is now The Planets and Beyond and will broadcast as The Planets and Beyond Season 2 starting March 20, 2018, at 22:00. Astronaut Mike Massimino is the host.

Our current listing with Season 1 is here: http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/30752/the-planets. TVDB and IMDb still list it as The Planets (2017) with Season 1.

The website for the Science Channel https://www.sciencechannel.com/tv-shows/the-planets-and-beyond/ offers Season 1, Episodes 1 and 2 for viewing which were under The Planets last summer.

I thought I should let you know in case someone requests adding The Planets and Beyond as a new show. Is it as simple as adding The Planets and Beyond as AKA?

Thanks as always.

Yes :) It also could be added as a name of the season 2.

OK. I’ll add “The Planets and Beyond” as an AKA and a name for Season 2. It seems also reasonable to add “The Planets” as a name for Season 1.

Who knows what Season 3 will bring? To paraphrase Buzz Lightyear in the movie “Toy Story” from 1995: “To the Planets and Beyond?”

Beyond the Planets and Beyond :)

It's not necessary to add the title to the first season though, since it's the name of the show itself.
