Status: Running; returning 201x

I've noticed it before and forgot to ask ... sometimes when I add a new season I get the Status: Running; returning 201x in the Show Info box ... sometimes I don't. I still haven't figured out a pattern (ie add a new season while new episodes are still scheduled, get the ;returning 201x listed ... add a new season after last episode aired, don't) as to why it sometimes shows. I'm specifically looking @ http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/14536/the-story-of-god-with-morgan-freeman in this instance. I tried changing the status to TBD and back to running, that didn't work. Unless you know what you are looking for, you'll not see there is a third season ordered.

What, if anything, am I missing? TiA.

hmm, just checking it, but also no clue, really strange...

The current/previous season needs the "order" set :-)

Here you go :)

The trick is to set the "Episode order" value for the previous season.

However, sometimes it works even without that.

Ahhhh. Makes sense, system doesn't know that episode xx was season finale unless you tell it. Thanks for the info.

Different oddity with status: https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/27436/la-casa-de-papel doesn't show "Returning", despite that previous season have the correct episode order, and the upcoming season have year and month of premiere added. I suppose it is somehow affected by the fact that the show do not have season 2, going straight from season 1 to 3?

I think that may be the case indeed.
