It's a great tip and I have it marked but, they would also make nice functions within the tools section.

I personally would not think a new tool is necessary. Best way to implement a certain thing is to be able to search for imdb or tvdb id in the search bar.
or if it returns an error that the show is already existing, a simple redirect to the show-page in question would be equally convenient too. =)
