I was uploading some pictures and I got this error "Oh Snap! An error occurred! Unable to verify your data submission."

Any problems in the website?

Everything seems to be working as intended. Maybe try again. If you're still having issues let us. Check the type of file you're trying to upload, if there is anything different from how you usually do it.

I think I'm banned or something? Because I uploaded a difference photo to a different show but the same issue :/

What's the picture format ? there's some it can't handle, like .webp from netflix, etc.

Have you tried the usual troubleshooting steps: relaunch your browser; re-login in your TVmaze account; clear cookies; different browser. Are you using any ad/script blocker?

LeonKennedy wrote 7 years ago: 1

Jpg & png are the usual format I upload

LeonKennedy wrote 7 years ago: 1

I usually screen-shoot the episodes I download and upload their pictures to TVmaze and I never had a problem with it until today. :/

I solved the problem. It turns out that Google Chrome is the issue here. Thanks to all the admins and mostly tnt. :D
I actually thought that I was banned...

Jan wrote 7 years ago: 1

If you were we would of told you something. :)

Could you elaborate on what you think the issue was specifically? What did you do to solve the issue?

LeonKennedy wrote 7 years ago: 1

Uh, yeah. Google chrome was the issue. I used Opera Browser and it worked like a charm!

Though, I cleared the caches and the the cookies of chrome but no use.

Yeah, Chrome is behaving funky after the latest major update, a lot of glitches here and there...

Could it be a change in how Chrome handles http vs https? Especially if you are trying to upload something (screen caps) from a computer to a site ... since Chrome doesn't trust http perhaps that is flagged and the upload blocked? Just guessing ...

LeonKennedy wrote 7 years ago: 1

Well, Opera browser is my new go-to :)

"Unable to verify your data submission." indicates that your browser isn't submitting the form data properly, very odd! Are you sure it's not an exotic browser plugin (adblock/etc) messing with us?

FWIW, I recommend Firefox for the best experience on TVmaze. Chrome is known to frequently break things that have always worked just fine and still work fine on other browsers.
