Hudson & Rex

I have a question about the above show. Hudson & Rex is a Canadian show which runs on CityTV, it started airing in March and ran for 6 episodes before taking a break, during that time FXX picked the show up and started airing it, eventually they caught up with CityTV and both were airing the same episode each week. 16 episodes of the show were ordered by CityTV for season 1, but they have decided to only air 13 of them now and will use the other 3 as part of season 2 which will start airing in the fall, FXX have decided that they are going to air the other 3 episodes as part of season 1 and aired episode 14 last night.

What do we do about listing these episodes? Do we simply ignore what FXX are doing and list the episodes when they eventually air on CityTV as part of season 2 or should they be listed using the FXX airdates as part of season 1?

I think if we have it set to CityTV, that's the airings we have to abide by. I don't watch it, but it sounds like FXX isn't part of it's production and are just the international broadcast network for it, so that's kind of a situation like a show getting cancelled and a network in another country finishes the episodes out. At least this won't remain undated, they'll just be for the "official" season.

The strange thing is FXX only seem to be broadcasting the show in Canada and not in the US, i can't find any record of it airing in the US.

Because that's FXX Canada :) Which is, BTW, owned by the very same Rogers Media, who is also the owner of Citytv.

I'd stick to the original network's listings, Citytv, since the show was always promoted as Citytv original. However, the money actually paid from the Rogers Media's pocket, so there's that... :)

Perhaps add those three episodes to season 2 with blank airing dates? So those who watch on fxx can somehow mark them as watched too?

I'll stick with CityTV then and remove the airdates and times for the three episodes which had been added to the listing.

The show could probably do with having a explanation in the editors wiki.

Many Thanks
