"Could not parse image" pop-up

Lately when uploading image a pop-up error appears and says "Could not parse image" and sometimes Just closing or escaping it does it. But just now it froze my tab, had to do it several times to make it.

It seems that image description causes it, not the image file, but I dunno why. I only add descriptions when uploading character photos to mark from which episode the photo is captured from (i.e. description may look like this... "Seinfeld" (S05E14)). I doubt '(' or '"' may be causing some such error since it's a description. And especially since until just recently (about few weeks back) I never had some such pop-ups and my way of writing descriptions didn't change.

The one time when that pop-up basically froze all my actions so I had to close the tab was when uploading this image...

...so after a few attempts I uploaded it without a description which went without that pop-up error message, then edited it to add descriptions which created pop-up error but managed to close it.

I've had this happen to me too but not freeze a page. It happened a few times through. I'm on chromes latest version.

I rarely add descriptions, but when I do I never get any errors. I'm also using the latest Chrome both on macOS and Win10.

UPD I just tried to add a description when uploading the image in the same format you do – no errors. Have you tried to disable the extensions, or to try it from the incognito mode?

I'm also getting this message when I'm editing the picture link. I noticed that if I edit the link slowly :) the message will not appear. (using Chrome & Firefox)
It started to show since a week ago, I believe...

Just in case this is something browser-related, I also use the latest Chrome version and on Windows 7 (64-bit).

I actually caught the same bug while I was adding the image description. Not after submitting it but literally in the process of writing the description. Weird.

Yes, that is where it always happens to me. Submission never has any problem if you can write the description.
