I have just added a new show to the site "Fresh Beat Band of Spies" however it has a very different "Show Schedule" then the 10 choices that there are to pick from as it airs New Episodes every week on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Since I cannot select that combination or a multiple combination I suggest instead of adding to the list of 10 choices you remove all choices and have a select-able drop down menu so we can pick the day or days the show airs? If not you may have to continue to add to the choice list as a matter of fact there is a News show that airs on Saturdays and Sundays both and no other days of the week. Should that show or any others like it ever get added to the site then the list will have to increase again! I am also sure that sometime in the future we run into other shows that air on 2 or more days but not on any of the current choices we have available to choose from? Here are some shows currently airing I am aware of with strange "Show Schedule" days.

America Tonight - Al Jazeera America - Tuesday - Friday

E News! - E! TV - Monday - Saturday (There are at least 6 different shows that air during these same days)

The Balancing Act - Lifetime - Wednesday - Friday

Watch What Happens: Live - Bravo - Sunday - Thursday

House Hunters - HGTV - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday

That is a small list of shows I personally know about however I am sure you get my point? Why would you want to take a chance on having to increase the choices in the future when a drop down menu to selected the days you want would be easier and save time. All we would have to do is have our Mouse highlight all the days the show will air!

Please give this idea/suggestion some deep consideration before not approving it?

If I come across such a thing and it happened to me before, I am just leaving the day it airs empty.

The schedule gets their info from the date and time, so it will always be correctly displayed in our schedule.

Would it be at all possible to change the way the system responds to Duplicated Episode #'s please. As it is now if you need to add in a missing episode as I just did and you put in the Correct Episode # that it needs to have and that episode # is already being used it gives you this error message - Please fix the following errors: An episode with this number already exists in this season

That means to give it a correct Episode # you must 1st make up a # not being used and then renumber all the episodes that must now follow this one. You however must do it by going backwards instead of forwards - Episode 10 change to Episode 11, Episode 9 change to Episode 10 and so on util you free up the episode # you now need. Then go back into the episode with the invalid episode # on it and give it the correct # where it should fall. Going backwards to help fix something just does not feel like the correct way to have to do this yet I have tried many things and it is the only way that works correctly.

I propose that the error message still comes up however you can select to accept it anyways because you are aware of the duplicate episode #'s and then renumber the remaining episodes by going forward not backwards?

Hey there Ron,

I agree this is a pain in the ass, especially when episode 3 is wrong and the season has 22 episodes, we have to renumber each episode one after the other, but right now this is the only way to avoid duplicate episodes, if we do not get the error message we might come up with two episodes with the same number.

A solution to this would be a mass renumbering tool, where you can quickly renumber each ep of the season, I will ask david to put this on the to-do-list.

cheers
Juan

I didn't check everything (I'm watching the marathon Comedy Central is streaming these days, so I notice what I can watch) but between the episode 30 and the 31 there's another one, aired the 11th March 2002 and with guest Bea Arthur...
I can't change the episodes' numbers, so...

Would it at all be possible to change the response we get when we put in a show name or person etc. into the Search field to show the name of whatever we were searching for appears in the response like "Babe's Blue Ox" was not found, etc. etc. etc.

As it is now if you search for 1 show and it's not found then you immediately search for a second one the screen flashes so quickly there is no way to no if the response is for your 1st item you looked for or the next one. Does this make sense at all?

That's indeed not a bad idea, to add extra information on the query performed. You should create a new suggestion thread next time.

Thank you for the tip JaguarDog

Things I would love to see added here to the site sometime in the future if it would not be too much trouble or make "The Site Look Messy" please?

People – If a person has only the 1 photo I don’t want to have to spend time looking to see if they have any others in their gallery – Therefore please add to their profile page something like (Photos – 3 total)

Shows – Episodes – Something to indicate that episode either HAS a summary on it or NO SUMMARY YET

Thank you very much for your kind considereation of my suggestions, Ron.

Hi Ron,

Sure it would be nice to see if a Person has more than one photo of herself/himself, although I guess you could implement this in an easier way by adding the amount of photos behind 'Gallery' in the person's tab, (ex. Gallery (2)), although I guess this won't be as useful as most characters/persons have only one photo or people simply don't care about it. (in my experience).

I believe you have made that suggestion before, but to be able to edit it, although if people click on it and see it hasn't any summary, people have the tendecy to add them themselves. TVMaze relies on those contributions :)

Freaks and Geeks, though ordered properly by date, is not ordered by proper viewing order, could we change that? If it's just defaulted that way, then Firefly is likely ordered incorrectly as well, as Fox played that out of order, but I haven't checked Firefly yet.

Edit: Yes, Firefly is ordered incorrectly as well.

Proper viewing order is this way

1: Pilot

2: Beers and Weirs

3: Tricks and Treats

4: Kim Kelly Is My Friend

5: Tests and Breasts

6: I'm with the Band

7: Carded and Discarded

8: Girlfriends and Boyfriends

9: We've Got Spirit

10: The Diary

11: Looks and Books

12: The Garage Door

13: Chokin' and Tokin'

14: Dead Dogs and Gym Teachers

15: Noshing and Moshing

16: Smooching and Mooching

17: The Little Things

18: Discos and Dragons

I'm a little confused here on "Freaks and Geeks" because I was going to fix these episodes for you however the 3 major TV sites I have looked at verify that the order we have is the correct order. Can you provide a URL to a site that can can contradict those sites and ours please?

Yeah, as Jaguardog already hinted, this is the expected behavior. To avoid confusion and ambiguity, we always list episodes in the airdate order.

This won't change, but if there's demand for it we'll introduce alternate numbering schemes based on the DVD order for cases like this.

Not so much a request to edit a show par se, but while trying to search for Marvel's Agents of Shield I couldn't find it through the search without typing in "S.H.I.E.L.D" searching for Marvel's Agents of Shield, or just Agents of Shield. I know in the past, I found it by just typing Agents, but if there's a way to have shows written with this style to show up just typing the letters, that would be good.

Trying to search for M*A*S*H requires you to do this too.
