A lot of series are aimed at preteens and early teens. I would say that they're children's series but I know some would disagree thereby creating the need for a youth genre. A genre for shows aimed at older grade school, middle school, and early high school aged kids.
Otherwise we need to expand the children's genre to include these shows.
