The Good Place 4x08 proper title

Hi Juan! About this edit https://www.tvmaze.com/edit/view?id=9373717 Looks like you Gazza and I ended up in an edit war about "The Funerals to End All Funerals" versus "The Funeral To End All Funerals". You got outvoted I think :) I don't have access to the NBC site, but NetFlix definitely went with the plural and they're not the only one. It also makes more sense because the episode is about several funerals. So please reconsider.

The Appalachians

Hey JuanArango.

Sorry that I've been so long out of touch. There's been a lot of family changes this year.

Please check my work adding The Appalachians: https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/44855/the-appalachians. I just watched this 3-part PBS documentary series tonight and it wasn't in TVmaze. I think I added one other series months ago after given the privilege. There could perhaps be a better website than the one I located if you have any suggestions. Thankfully, it was listed in TVDB. IMDB's listing was incomplete; so I did not add the ID number tt0783320. Should I? Let me know your ideas. Thanks as always.

Joe

We discussed the season 2/3 stuff in the edit requests a while ago, and you said they should all be season 3.

https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/2677/edit-requests?page=327#51698

I would assume MTV intended for them to be season 2 and season 3, but then they took too long of a break in the middle of the season and it doesn't make sense to have season 2 finale one week and season 3, and then the first episode of season 3 take place a day or so after the finale... plus the stuff I mentioned on my reply there. That's basically the same as when a show films an episode for season x but holds it off to air it sometime in season y. MTV.com says they're season 2 and 3, but they also have some episodes where the schedule said one title and the episode guide said another, and they designated clip shows as season episodes and not specials so mtv.com doesn't know what they're doing anyway.

I remember the discussion now..but I am really unsure, as mtv and every other site lists it like we have it now. Are you familiär with the show and can determine if the season 2 eps have one theme?

I reread your reply and it makes sense, you think we should change it back?

The season 2 episodes in 2018 are mostly set in Las Vegas, and then they leave Vegas and go back to the house from the original series and then rent a new house with the majority of the topics dealing with Ronnie's relationship drama. They also say "Part 2" in the show's title on the credits. The episodes in 2019 remove "Part 2" and add Angelina to the intro and start off with Mike Sorrentino's court date and the 10 episodes they still say are part of "season 2" are basically about his sentencing and planning his wedding before he has to report to prison, so the tone is definitely different than the happy-go-lucky "family vacation" type stuff from the episodes before that. The first episode of "season 3" takes place the next day, or at least within a few days after the wedding and then they show bits and pieces over the next few months (Deena having her baby, Snooki telling people she's pregnant, Christmas stuff, etc) and the first episodes ends with Mike on his way to prison.

Like I was saying, I think maybe they meant to still be part of season 2 but waited too long so mtv.com just numbered their seasons based on production and not by any broadcast logic (waiting 7 months and then airing 10 episodes of season 2 leading right into season 3 is a weird way to do it). The themes are definitely different, and personally I think the ones in 2019 all fit together better as a "season" but I don't really mind either way, just would like to get a final say in it so I know not to change it back. I can make a thread about it in the forum if you'd like to get some opinions from others.
