Low resolution pictures with bad aspect ratio

puffosul posted 2 years ago

Hi,

Another message about low res pics....

https://www.tvmaze.com/images/955139/the-dukehunt-family-image-955139  << 750x500px (aspect ratio 4:3 instead of 16:9)

you can find better pics for this show on NBC https://www.nbc.com/family-massacre

Please check the resolution of the pics (paste the link in a new tab >> the title will show you the resolution) before uploading! The minimum resolution is 1280x720px and the highest res available should be uploaded is stated in the Data Policies which you should read.

For investigationdiscovery.com you just replace the width=768 with width=1920 in the link and in oxygen case (since they don't have great pics) you can always use nbc.com (where you delete everything after .jpg to get the full res). All the shows from oxygen are on nbc website as well.

Thanks, I had figured that out but I was asking could it be added to the guide.

Sent Juan the instructions for those to be added to the page. ;)

Low resolution pictures

Hi, this picture https://www.tvmaze.com/images/887548/the-good-girl-image-887548 you recently uploaded is low resolution 768x432px and does not meet the required policy of minimum 1280x720px stated in the Episode and Character screencaps page.

To get the FullHD resolution from the website, edit the link https://api.discovery.com/v1/images/6140bee6967dfc4f0c5683fa?aspectRatio=16x9&width=768&key=3020a40c2356a645b4b4 and replace 768 with 1920 >> https://api.discovery.com/v1/images/6140bee6967dfc4f0c5683fa?aspectRatio=16x9&width=1920&key=3020a40c2356a645b4b4

You can check a picture resolution, by pasting the link in a new tab (the name of the tab will show you the resolution) before uploading it.

I recommend reading Data Policies >> https://www.tvmaze.com/faqs/9/data-policies

Also, check the guide about How to get the largest available images from different websites.

Best regards,
Lucian.
