‘Black Lightning’ to End After Season 4 on CW

Based on the DC character of the same name, “Black Lightning” centers around Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a high school principal who is forced to don his superhero suit once again after years of retirement when a local gang arises and recruits one of his star students. The show also stars Christine Adams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, James Remar, Marvin Jones III, Jordan Calloway and Damon Gupton. Season 4 of the series is slated to air early next year.

CW likes to chase the older teen/young adult demographic. But all the shows you mentioned are practically unwatchable for anyone older or especially mentally older. The demographic is aging away from the constant y/a drama queen plots. If they did what Harry Potter series did. "Write up" to a higher level with every  few seasons they would probably end up with hits that stood the test of time as Potter series did.
