Veteran actress Adina Porter has truly made her mark in all areas of entertainment: Television, film and in the theatre. Currently, she plays Lettie Mae Thornton in True Blood, her fourth venture with HBO, having already had memorable performances in Mind of the Married Man, as well as the highly acclaimed HBO Films, Lackawanna Blues and Gia.
Counting True Blood, Porter has reccured on some of television's hottest shows: Prison Break, Saving Grace, NYPD Blue, and Law and Order. She also worked two full season on NBC's American Dreams. Porter was cast as a series regular in the pilot Katrina and a series regular in the pilot Second Opinion for CBS. In addition, Porter has worked as a guest star on over 20 TV series, including House, Without a Trace, The Shielf, Law and Order: SVU, CSI: NY, and ER.
Porter was born and raised in New York City. She attended SUNY Purchase, as well as the school for performing arts. Along with her husband, Madison, Porter enjoys running after her 17-month-old son. The family splits their time between Los Angeles and New York.
