I don't know about removing all OVAs from the specials seasons, as some are short episodes (for instance with Fairy Tail, 9/12 are 25 minutes OVAs). A case could be made for the movie OVAs though. But at least there, this "episode" is only an opening and doesn't appear in other DBs or Wikipedia.

They shouldn't. They're removed.

I'm new here, but quick question: why would 20min OVA not being considered for specials when full-length movies are? Edit: where would I go for information about OVA?

full length movies are not considered too if they never made it to TV. OVA is direct to dvd.

Which is why I am surprised to see this is still listed: https://www.tvmaze.com/episodes/1372189/fairy-tail-s07-special-fairy-tail-movie-2-dragon-cry

I know nothing about this show, but Wikipedia says it's a theatrical release....

And as mentioned above, this isn't even a movie OR episode, it's just a 3 min musical theme: https://www.tvmaze.com/episodes/1156771/fairy-tail-s03-special-towa-no-kizuna

@JuanArango I noticed that the episode of 'Girl Meets Farm' from 12/27/20 was re-seasoned by you yesterday (moving the episode to a new season 7) I'm assuming because of this source

As no doubt you're aware - the site (like all Scripps sites) uses production numbering for both season and episode.  If you go to the consumer-facing Food Network site (the 'watch' site), you can see this episode as the previous season (what it had prior to the edit).

The question for all staff would be:  In this case (as in most Scripps shows) which site holds the higher priority?  The production-based 'foodnetwork.com' site?  Or the network 'watch.foodnetwork.com' site?  Both are network 'sources' -- but seemingly controlled by two different entities after the Scripps/Discovery merger.

If the production site is used - what criteria?  Use it for season numbering determination, but ignore it for episodes?  As is known - episode number does not follow aired order on the production site.  However - if season numbering is to be taken from the production foodnetwork.com site - then next weekend's episode of 'Book Club Party' would now be back at season 6 and we have simultaneous seasons going on.

It should be noted that the 'watch' site has no such issues - with episode numbers being assigned in airing order and no simultaneous season issues (with the only difference being the difference in the determination of the season 'break'.

Some side notes:  There is no press or social media network notice that I can find to support one or the other for the season breaks.  For what it's worth - other distribution platforms (Amazon, Vudu, etc) seem to match the 'watch' site.  Listings sites like Rovi or Gracenote each differ on their episode numbering - but have at least the season matching the 'watch' site (although they are also counting a lot of the 'best-of' clip shows as 'new' episodes also).

One other 'glitch' that has just shown up during the last couple weeks or so on the production-oriented site:  Some of the episodes that are searchable by title in season 7 are only available via direct-link while their episode list page only has the featured recipe.  This just changed within the past 2 weeks, I believe, and is almost certainly an error.  The previous listings for production-sourced season 7 for example had actual episode names like 'Brunch Club Strikes Again' while now it lists the episode in the list as 'Pita and Greens Benedict'.  Even weirder - the episode page with its actual title still exists.  The 'watch' site, of course, has the episode title named correctly.

Series called Boys is a dupe of It's a Sin, so Boys needs deleting please. When done, the imdb from boys (tt9140342) needs adding to It's a Sin please.
