ABC announced it's renewals today. Nineteen shows will return next season when filming can resume. Of the cancelled shows, Schooled is probably the biggest surprise. It's ratings were at least as good as Black-ish and Mixed-ish, and usually better. No decision yet on For Life, hesitance is never a good sign. The Baker and the Beauty is more of a summer show, so a decision on its fate won't be made until later.
Here is the complete breakdown.

I was frankly surprised Schooled wasn't renewed. With the current non-pilot season and the fact that its ratings were as good (and often better) than Black-ish, or Mixed-ish, yeah, that was a surprise. I wonder if there were production issues that led to this, but who knows.
Bummer that Schooled wasnt renewed, but atleast Goldbergs will continue.
I'm also watching S.H.I.E.L.D. but i am kinda glad that is over.
Whenever I'm looking at shows to watch that have already ended, proper ending is one of the things that decide if I'm going to watch it.
I believe AoS crew was expecting cancellation after season 5 with the episode title 'The End'. It was great news when it got picked up for S06 and then before S06 even started airing, season 7 confirmation.
And The 100 got a 16 episode final season so the show gets 100 episodes which is pretty neat.
It's been a pet peeve of mine for years, I argued with TPtB @ TVbtN about the clear & important difference between Cancelled vs Ended to no avail ... :(
To be fair, this upcoming season of Agents of SHIELD was announced to be its final season mid-2019. (Same with The 100 on The CW.) Much less of a sting for the fans, and an opportunity to conclude a series properly.
I was surprised about Schooled. It's rating were never mind-blowing but as I said they were usually on par with Black-ish and Mixed-ish. Equally surprised Stumptown was renewed. It's rating were low, sometimes painfully so.
Of the shows that I watch, only one didn't get renewed - Schooled. While that was a bummer, I was happy to ready online that Prodigal Son got renewed...and yes I know this article you wrote is about ABC's programming and not Fox's.
