CBS enjoyed a Sunday night NFL overrun, which may have helped The Eye cope with the ratings losses on Tuesday. NCIS fans shouldn't worry too much about that two tenth drop, a make-up NFL game over on FOX was the reason. MacGyver, Magnum PI and Blue Bloods all held their premiere numbers. SEAL Team gained a tenth from its premiere. SWAT was up a tenth from its last new episode a couple of weeks ago.

The Peacock announced it would air the second season of Transplant. As the program is produced in Canada by CTV, no word on when the episodes will air in the US. Nurses, another Canadian import, premiered to middling numbers.

The CW's slate of holiday specials performed about as well as the reruns and imports on the rest of its schedule. The Christmas Caroler Challenge opened with half a million viewers. Pandora and The Outpost each managed a tenth of a ratings point last week. Network execs have got to be eager for January when they might, hopefully, see a rating other than 0.1 for a program.
