NBC premiered its Thursday night Law & Order block last week. Venerable Law & Order opened its twenty-fourth season about even with the number of viewers it had for its finale in May. Law & Order: SVU opened well up from its finale, picking up nearly a million additional viewers. Law & Order: Organised Crime moved over to Peacock and was replaced with sophomore series Found, which opened low. It will need to come up in the numbers if fans want it to continue. Chicago Med picked up one hundred thousand viewers over its premiere. Chicago PD was up five hundred thousand viewers. Chicago Fire was about even. Brilliant Minds dropped five hundred thousand viewers from its premiere. It will need to improve those numbers if it has any chance of surviving.

ABC enjoyed another good night of NFL football. Doctor Odyssey dropped three hundred thousand viewers off its premiere. As long as it doesn't lose any more, it should be fine. Grey's Anatomy lost two hundred thousand viewers. 9-1-1 and The Golden Bachelorette were even.

CBS feasted on an NFL overrun last week. The network also premiered its latest competition show, The Summit, last week to low numbers. With most of the regular schedule yet ot be in place, the future does not bode well for the series. Two episodes of Big Brother were down a couple hundred thousand viewers each.

FOX premiered its Sunday animation block last week. The Simpsons opened well, picking up four hundred thousand viewers from its finale in May. Bob's Burgers was up two hundred thousand viewers from its finale. Krapopolis picked up one hundred thousand viewers. Universal Basic Guys lost three hundred thousand viewers without the NFL assist but held its own with the rest of the block. It's in no danger at the moment. Murder in a Small Town lost nearly one million viewers from its premiere. Both shows will need to settle quickly if they want to continue.

CW wrapped the final season of All American: Homecoming last week, even with the previous week's viewers numbers. The network also threw its hat into the primetime game show ring, premiering its version of Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble. Both shows did well by CW standards. ITVX import Joan premiered last week to middling numbers. Don't get too attached, though. It was only a six-episode series and was not picked up by its parent network.
