Ratings Roundup for the Week of January 26, 2025

CBS finally rejoined the rest of the network schedule last week with new episodes. Watson had a solid opening behind the NFL playoff game. The test will be to see how much of that audience sticks around without the football assist. Hollywood Squares moved to its regular night last week. The move cost the gameshow six hundred thousand viewers. Poppa's House picked up half a million viewers with its return. NCIS: Origins found six hundred thousand viewers after taking a couple of months off. The latest NCIS spinoff is competing with Elspeth for lowest-rated scripted drama. It will likely still squeak a renewal for franchise growth. SWAT would also be a possible cancellation contender, but it has already been cancelled twice and come back from the dead.

NBC enjoyed a big ratings win with the annual One Chicago crossover. All three shows saw a significant rating jump. Chicago Fire swapped time periods with Chicago Med and was up almost a million and a half viewers to kick off the evening. Med was up half a million viewers. Chicago PD was up almost two million viewers. Found was down six hundred thousand viewers. The Irrational was down another three hundred thousand viewers. Night Court lost another two hundred thousand viewers. Its numbers need to come up some if it wants to earn a third season. St Denis Medical was down one hundred thousand viewers.

CW premiered the seventh season of All American last week. The series opened low, which does not bode well for a program on a network that has little interest in original scripted content. Chances are this will be the show's last season. Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Masters of Illusion were both even with their previous week's numbers.
