Even the Discovery (a great show) haters love SNW, so that's really saying something. Pretty wild that you are watching a show that you actively dislike. SNW is a modern TOS, but better, and the issues brought up in this episode are extremely relevant as well as being the same ones Trek has always dabbled in, since 1966. Not sure why you can like the old stuff and dislike something new that harkens directly back to the old.
This was an S tier episode. One of the very best.
"Don't even compare this to TNG"
My dude, this episode directly correlates back to "Measure of a Man". They are both "lawyers and preaching" trial episodes revolving around main cast members with similar themes.
It's nice to see Star Trek taking a break from their usual mission/exploration. I would say the message that this episode is trying to impart is very much relevant to what is currently happening in our society. Good job on the episode.
Trek has been preaching for 57 years. You don't sound like much of a fan. This was an impactful instant classic Star Trek episode. Sounds like I'd hate to hear your opinion on TNG's "Measure of a Man", the trial of Data. An episode with an avg rating of 9.1/10 on IMDb.
Phenomenal, 10/10, deeply meaningful, impactful episode.
