At the hospital, Jim sits next to the unconscious Valerie and says that he's sorry for what happened to her. She wakes up and Jim takes her hand, and says that he never meant for her to get hurt. Valerie says that he did because he wanted to save Lee, and he told Jervis to shoot Lee knowing he wouldn't.
