“La Brea” renewed for a second season

  • NBC has renewed its hit Tuesday drama “La Brea” for a second season.
  • “La Brea” is the #1 new program this fall in the 18-49 demo and the series has reached more than 47 million viewers across linear and digital platforms.
  • The “La Brea” pilot, which aired Sept. 28, currently stands at a 3.6 in 18-49 and 19.8 million viewers.
  • The cast includes Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jack Martin, Zyra Gorecki, Jon Seda, Chiké Okonkwo, Karina Logue, Veronica St. Clair, Rohan Mirchandaney, Nicholas Gonzalez, Lily Santiago, Chloe De Los Santos and Josh McKenzie.
  • Writer David Appelbaum executive produces with Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Steven Lilien, Bryan Wynbrandt and Ken Woodruff. 
  • “La Brea” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Keshet Studios.

I guess I'm the only one who isn't glad to hear this. Tbh, I hated this show. It's not even a 5/10 rated show for me...

I really want this show to do well, but I'm totally blown away by the really horrible acting Jack Martin, Zyra Gorecki(Josh, Izzy) put into this.  I know the script writers haven't done them much justice either.  But wow, the emotions are so over exaggerated that it feels like British Theater sometimes.  Anyway, even with all of this, I still love the show and premise.

I would have bet good money this would go the way of Terra Nova, another prehistoric set series filmed in Australia. And while I'm not crazy about the family drama(actually hate it with a white hot passion) there is enough of what I like for me to keep watching.
