"The Girls on the Bus" Canceled at Max After One Season

Max has opted not to proceed with a second season of drama "The Girls on the Bus". The decision comes two weeks after the Season 1 finale of the series, starring and produced by Melissa Benoist, was released. The adaptation of Chozick's best-selling book "Chasing Hillary" had a relatively quiet run and didn't break into Nielsen's Top 10 weekly streaming rankings. "The Girls on the Bus" landed at Max after originally getting a series order at Netflix and then moving to The CW for development.
