Matthew Sears is a film and television actor, originally hailing from Toronto. Since transplanting to Vancouver, he has been enjoying working in this great new market (and weather). Though he was originally bit by the acting bug early, watching his uncle and Canadian Icon, Dave Foley on Kids in the Hall, at an all too inappropriate age. It wasn't until a series of unlikely events later in life that he started walking down this path.
With amazing coaches Lewis Baumander and David Rotenberg in Toronto he started his journey. Then in Vancouver, fantastic coaches such as Deb Podowski, Benjamin Ratner, Andrew McIlroy and Jeb Beach have all helped him grow and define his craft.
His favourite role so far would have to be his recurring spot on Fox's Murder in a Small Town. However he has been lucky enough to work on such great projects as Netflix's The Night Agent, CBC's Allegiance, CBS's So Help Me Todd and many others.
When not on set, you will find him outside, enjoying the great beauty of Vancouver. Or like a true Canadian trying to find the time to get his stick on the ice.
