Mercedes de la Zerda was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada and started acting at the age of fifteen. After graduating high school, Mercedes volunteered in Santiago, Chile for 18 months. In 2014, Mercedes graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre Acting.
