Korean-American actor Jeff Kim was born and raised in a small college town in Illinois spending much of his childhood and adolescence playing baseball, basketball, tennis, and pool before moving to the University of Chicago to pursue a career in medicine. After completing medical school, Jeff moved to NYC's Greenwich Village to pursue specialty training in Anesthesiology, where he stumbled upon his first acting class and discovered his love of acting.
Never expecting it to become more than just a hobby, Jeff booked his first ever audition and quickly found himself on TV soap operas and has since worked steadily on New York based TV shows including Blue Bloods, Royal Pains, Nurse Jackie, The Following and The Knick.
Jeff's independent film work has included "The Unwanted" which premiered at the Lincoln Center, "Tonsure" (BAM, Urbanworld Film Festival), and "Creep"-a short film in which he garnered a Merit Award and a Silver Award by the IndieFest Film Awards and the IIFA respectively.
Jeff continues to live in New York City where he continues to live a double life as both a doctor and actor, while continually striving to achieve mastery in the art of acting.
Jeff assures us that 2015 is off to a great start with several upcoming TV appearances alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, and several upcoming film and stage projects which are still in development.
