Born in Santa Monica, California, Tracy Nelson is the daughter of musician Ricky Nelson and actress/painter Kristin Nelson. A professional dancer, she studied ballet for 17 years. Her earliest credit was at the age of 4 in the 1968 movie Yours, Mine and Ours. In 1982 she became the popular Valley Girl Jennifer DeNuccio in the series Square Pegs.
A cancer survivor, she is active in cancer research and was the spokesperson for The Lymphoma Research Foundation of America.
