Born in New York City, Eva Amurri graduated from Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, and Brown University. She debuted with a minor role in the 1992 film Bob Roberts, followed in 1995 by the role of young Helen in Dead Man Walking, in which her mother Susan Sarandon starred as Sister Helen Prejean.
