Lance Samuels is a Canadian film and television producer who founded Out of Africa Entertainment and Blue Ice Pictures.
After founding Out of Africa Entertainment in 2004, Lance Samuels went on to produce widely successful shows including HBO's Generation Kill and Strike Back, as well as feature films like The Bang Bang Cluba and Inescapable.
In 2010, Blue Ice Pictures purchased Out of Africa Entertainment, naming Lance as President of the company. Under his leadership, Blue Ice Pictures has produced internationally acclaimed projects, such as The Book of Negroes, a six-part mini-series for BET and CBC based on the award-winning Lawrence Hill novel.
