Guys, isn't it more logical, to have just one pair of Update / Delete buttons, that work for the whole page, so several cast members can be managed at once?

I suspect that doesn't work very well (if at all) in a system that tracks not just the guest stars, but the characters they play.
Hmm... Maybe i'm not getting something, but what's the difference? You hit "Update" and all the changes you've made updated at once. Including appearance, characters and so on.
I mean now mass-fixing guest cast is really awkward. E.g., episode already has 15 Guest Stars. But 10 of them should be listed as Co-Star. So you have to 10 times hit Manage, find next actor, change appearance, hit Update and do it all over again, instead of making all changes at once and hit Update once. It's 10 times faster :)
If it's impossible in current realization, maybe at least add "Return to this page..." checkbox, similar to cast or episode creation page. So it's one step less.

I also would like to have the ability to edit more than one cast in one step :)

The difference is when you're updating, you're potentially updating two different datasets: the actor data, and the character data.
The system can't assume that you're only editing the guest/co-star status.
I understand what you're asking for, and I agree. But my guess would be that an actor is made up of two different datasets is some part of the issue.

Ok, but what happens, when i'm changing several parameters for a single entry at once? If i change not only "Cast type", but "Character" or even "Person" as well, and then hit Update – system will update all affected datasets at once, isn't it? I've never tried this, but i assume this should work, right? I think that system doesn't care much about which field i change, it incorporates changes to the existing data.
So, the big question is – why is it limited to changing one cast entry at a time? Is it some kind of database request quota or something? Or maybe there's some logic behind that, which i don't see?
And excuse me for some confusion and battology, English is my second language, so i'm just having hard time to explain my thoughts clearly :)
I know one by one is very slow. I usually click CTRL and update/delete on the persons that should be updated or deleted and after opening some tabs (due to CTRL). It is simply move to every tab to click delete (updating it will redirect you to the episode display directly. It works faster than one by one.

Nice trick!
But anyway, site engine is really lacks some batch processing tools. Like guest cast manipulations, or filling multiple episode summaries, adding character images etc. I'm sure, that some improvements to those things could be much appreciated by the community :)
