Edit Requests

Hi people,

I use TVMaze/Epguides a lot, but I noticed that this show (The Amazing World of Gumball) was wrong on the end of season 4 and the beginning of season 5. I didn't know I was limited to 3 edits, because there's a few edits left before the show is correct.

1. The episode "The Disaster (Part 1)" was missing, so I added that.

2. The episode "The Rerun (Part 2)" is 5x01 and "The Stories" is 5x02, these are in the wrong order.

3. The list should be correct now besides that, but it's missing "Thanksgiving" that will air the 24th nov.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards.

I've switched 501 and 502 but what are the correct air dates? The date for 439 The Scam is also out of order I'd need that date as well.

I think you should change them back. Episode "The Stories" was aired as season premiere (on Sep, 1), prior to "The Re-run" and according to the policy episode numbers should always reflect the order in which episodes were originally premiered.

But there's a real mess with those episodes, because 4x39 and 4x40 was premiered during season 5. Better wait for CC or HC oppinion.

I don't know if anybody could delete this episode, because i just can't find the source for it. It doesn't seem like it's confirmed so...

I've started rewatching this show on the Freeform app and filling in anything missing and these are all the same character. I'm not sure what protocol is for when the characters eventually are given actual names after being called something generic such as "Piano Player". When he first appeared that's what he was credited as and then later he was credited as "Brad," but since neither showed up automatically because it was multiple entires for the same actor I just put it as "Brad the Piano Player" since that's his real name and he is more or less playing himself. Then I noticed the other two were already there because some later episodes were already done, so maybe they should be merged into whichever character name the higher ups here think is the best choice, or "Brad the Piano Player" can be deleted and I'll just put him as Piano Player until he's credited later as Brad.

Bailey De Young and Emma Dumont weren't in this episode.

New user - a bit confused.

1. I don't see an option to post so i guess the means to post is to reply to the header. Apologies if this is incorrect - please advise if otherwise.

2. The listing of posts here seems backwards with oldest first. Is there an easy way to reverse the order so i can see my post and reply without trying to figure out which is the last page? Apologies again if it is obvious.

3. On to the real data issue. Below i have listed Diner's Drive-ins and Dives listings which i consider to be missing on typed incorectly. Being a brand new user to this site i hesitate to make corrections immediately. Please consider the following:

A. There was a pilot that aired on November 4th, 2006. Source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1331552/ I presume IMDB is an acceptable source although it is not in the sources at http://www.tvmaze.com/faq/15/episodes. I could not find it in any of the sources listed. Does that disqualify it?

B. Episode East-West Flavorfest - listed as a special, is not - it is in the same format as the regular shows and is listed on the network website: http://www.foodnetwork.com/shows/diners-drive-ins-and-dives/2300-series/east-west-flavorfest.html as Season 23, Episode 13 "(Episode: DV2313H)".

C. Begining with Season 24 of your listing the "Specials", which mostly consist of clip shows, are included as part of the listing of regular season episodes in which they seem to appear sequentially based on 1st air date. On the Foodnetwork website the clip shows are listed at the bottom of the list of regular episodes and have a different designator, i.e. Season 24 Episode 1 is designated as "(Episode: DV2401H)" while the clip show "DDD MVPs" is designated as "(Episode: DVSP41H)", the distinction being regular episodes have the pre designation DV while specials have DVSP. As a result you have included the following specials in the listing as regular episodes:

DDD MVPs / Rockin' New Orleans /Comfort Food Mash-up / Knock out Burger Joints /

Pizza Party

As a result you end up with 18 episodes in season 24 instead of the more usual 13.

In Season 25 the trend continues with these specials in the listing as regular episodes:

Real Deal Diners / Best of the West / Incredible Italian / World Class Flavor / Dynamite Desserts

Also Flavor is mis-spelled as Favor in World Class Flavor in your listing.

Finally I would like to suggest adding additional choices for Episode Type. Forgive me if this has been previously discussed but the inherent limitaions of the Forum Search prevent me from readily finding a relevant post. A number of cable channel programs, including DDD and other Scripps Network shows, frequently create shows that are entirely or almost entirely made up of compilations of clips from mutlitple episodes gathered into a single episode, often referred to as Clip Shows. I believe it would be helpful to delineate these types of episodes from other truly special specials. If this idea or any other suggestions for additional Episode Types has been discusses previously please direct me to the relevant posts.

TIA for your attention.

ed

Welcome to tvmaze :)

You can easily get to the most recent post of a thread if you click below ACTIVE THREADS on for example "30 minutes ago", then you get to the last post of that specific thread.

It seems you are correct on everything related to the Diner's Drive..... show, I will take a look at it this evening and fix it.

IMDB is not valid as an offical source, as it is user generated like our site :)
The official network site is of course fine and I will go from there when i fix the show.

We are already thinking about how we change the handling of specials.

cheers
Juan
