They don't fit in any of the categories that currently exist: guest star, co-star, etc. It's pretty rare for TV to credit extras, but it would be nice if this was another choice in the cast type list for when it happens and when they are credited.
This could open up the door for confusion with the Uncredited type. So maybe "Credited Extra" would be better.
So they credited like what? Extras and a list of the names? Or names with characters?
In this case it said Church Choir and then a list of names. In other cases I've seen similar such as Dancers and then a list of names. Credited after all guest and co-stars, and they don't have any real role in the episode so essentially they're just paid extras. After some thought, I'm thinking they're not worth adding to TVmaze since they're not serious actors thus not likely seeking much attention. IMDb is a good place for things like that, but perhaps not here.
Happens a lot, just add them like co-stars and then "dancer" for character. or singer, it's the same thing.
If tvmaze followed the mba, there would be way more categories. They have contractual significance (ie money etc), i don't think it's necessary because i think co-stars is sufficient. But some other categories would be a plus.
I usually list them as co stars and designate all persons to church choir charactrr
You can look how the singers and bands are listed in the third season of Twin Peaks, could be a good example. On-screen they're also credited as Band Name and a list of names.
And sometimes dancers are just listed as co-stars. iZombie did that with their season finale. They had 8+ dancers, and each one was listed as a co-star in the middle of the list of co-stars at the end.
I'll think about adding them as co-stars. They weren't credited as co-stars but I guess that's the closest match. Thanks.
That's what I'd do. It's also something you have to do with "Featuring", as it was used on U.S. TV back in the 70s-90s. The "Featuring" people were often listed after co-stars, for actors who had, if anything, even more minor roles than the co-stars.

I'm working on one of those shows now. It have guest and co- stars listed in the beginning of the episodes and the featuring ones far back in the end-credits. It also have Also featuring for prominent guest stars so yeah .. it's driving me nuts ..hehe
