The question is about Netflix series which are being released whole season at once. Like Marvel universe series. How long should they have Running status (if the renewal isn't announced yet)? 24 hrs since release? More?

Yeah, this is a tricky one because technically, they go from "In Development" to either "Ended" or "TBD" within 1 second when they get series dumped like Netflix do, so are never actually "Running" haha!
I dunno, but maybe when it comes to something like this, a reasonable period of time needs to be set so that a show is actually running for at least a week, or something?
I give it a month or two before resetting to "To Be Determined"

On the other hand they're always "Running", as long as they available on Netflix :)
Instead of listing status incorrectly (as TVMaze defines them), maybe we should reconsider the names and types of statuses?
I'd suggest just getting rid of "To Be Determined". And reword Running to say, "or may air again in the future."
Then if it's determined that it won't be airing, it's Ended and can be listed as such.
The more changes you have to make to anything, the more likely an error will creep in somewhere along the line. Plus it speeds up locking the more you have to change it, which limits who can edit it in future.
I'd change "TBD" for "Paused". So the show would be "Running" only during a season time, when it's actually running on air, and on pause between seasons or until cancelled.

The TV term for "Paused" is "Hiatus", but that doesn't get to your original question as to what to do with streaming shows that are technically always available even if they aren't currently producing a new season.

I thought the term "hiatus" is applied when it's the break inside a season, not between seasons. But I could be wrong :)
Maybe the streaming shows should be "Running" until cancelled/ended?
It you use this new "Paused" option, it is going to mean alot more work in changing the status of shows, every single show that finishes a season is going to have to have its status changed, i personally don't see the need for it. I don't see anything wrong with the current options, you could possiblly change "Running" if your uncomfortable seeing that status when the show is off-air, to something like "Running/Scheduled to Run" or completely change it to something like "Active"

It's not really "alot" :) If the show wasn't renewed before the end of the current season, the status should be changed to TBD anyway. And how many shows are being renewed before the end of the current season, 20-30%?
But this is actually could (and should) be done automatically. When the number of ordered episodes is known it's really easy to spot, when the current season is ended. The same goes for auto-switch to Running, on the day of season premiere. Only "Ended" will be set manually.
