As this was discussed many times, I will just refer to our show wiki:

Could we possibly split episode 1 here into episodes 1 and 2 (it's a two-part episode)? IMDB has it split into two separate episodes.

our editor wiki explains why we list it as a singular episode: https://www.tvmaze.com/showwiki/view?id=49333

this issue has already been discussed multiple times, and staff decided to list it as a singular episode.

Missing Air Date for "Grace"   https://www.tvmaze.com/episode/update?id=2044379

Seems there have been too many changes so the field has been locked.  In researching, I can see why some issues.  I can find May 3rd or May 4th, 2021 or just 2021 but can't really confirm using 'official' sources.  Late Sept 2021 articles found indicate it was still to be scheduled.

Thing is...the episode won't show up in watch list and other places were it would normally be like were we have 'previous' or 'last' episode.  ITV Press Release pages indicates there are more to come so the current situation might make this worse?  I've watched the episode in question - sometime from late last November to end of year, on Amazon but I know the dates there are sometimes pretty much meaningless.

At any rate, can we put in something anyway?  Thanks

Why is the team of this website making arbitrary choices about what is considered an episode, rather than listening to the people who created the episodes?

We cannot just assume an airdate.  :)

We made this decision and most users are ok with it, if we would change it, other users would speak up and complain.  :)

But one way is objectively correct, and the other was incorrectly decided by you.

That is your opinion , if you read our policy you might understand our point.

It's not my opinion, that's why I correctly used the word "objectively". I have read your policy, and it does not change the fact that the company that created the show states it is 2 episodes.

It was aired as one episode with one credit block, production numbers do not matter to us.

Please let it rest now  it will stay as it is.

I agree with bde. The final episode came out today and the incorrect (compared to official) data from your api is causing several issues for me.

Could you at least skip episode #2 so that the following episodes to match the official number scheme?

This has all been discussed before this would be against the policy.  You can believe me,we have this policy for a reason, as websites change season and episode numbering quite often, that is wha we always refer to the premiere airdste.
