And before it's asked about why the show is going by years for the seasons rather than the actual seasons themselves:
A. The series goes all the way back to 'season' 1978- if someone wanted to change it to go by the actual seasons, it would probably take some time to figure out when each season premiered and ended (and some time to actually change all of it)
B. The official ABC website actually goes by month/year as well.
Thus, would likely just be easier to add a note to that episode that it is the season 46 premiere.

That's because Tubi didn't buy the series, WB just "aired" them at weird times on their live streaming channel that Tubi carries.

Note removed. We have a ton of old shows we don't know the start and end of seasons for and we don't treat this any differently. If today is the start of season 46, it should be season 46, episode 1. Also we don't have a note type that would match added season premiere either.

Nothings broken, we track the initial airing of the show, the tubi episodes can be tracked on the alternate episode list.
