There would be no way that the BBC would produce one seperate episode for the PBS broadcast and one for the BBC broadcast. I'm hoping someone higher up agrees with this too?

We would never list a show twice either even if the show name and episode names change for a foreign broadcast. Which does happen alot as well. My guess here is that fib is a British slang term that wouldn't of made sense for the American audience?
