I took care of it :)

This kinds of question had been asked before, but since I couldn't find a answer I'll ask again: The points that are shown when you add a show, will they be added to that persons Contributor points? Seems like a logical step...

No, it doesn't. You will not receive any contribution points for requesting a show. The point system over there is for those ones that are able to add shows. It is most likely you will be helped sooner if you filled in more information about the show. The point system works on the amount of information you have given to your request.
Seems a bit counter productive, as you can benefit from giving less details and then add them yourself later.
Also as someone thats requested a couple hundred shows the past few weeks I have to say it'd be nice to get some sort of recognition for it, even if it's just silly internet points.
Currently your contribution points are only based on the number of edits. But we'll change that to a more weighed calculation in the future, and then include requests in the mix as well. :)
How about a badge ?
Add x numbers of shows - earn a badge.
I guess that would increase workload for us to add shows though as I am pretty sure lots of people are interested in getting that badge haha :)

The site can only benefit from it I think ;-)

When this gets done, will it include points for requests made now, or only those requested after the new calculation has been made live?

I will suggest to david and jan, that making requests also will give you points :)

Definitely for all requests since day 0. :)

I think it will only include new requests.
The weight of edits done in the past is easier to implement in the new score I think :-)
I made a bunch of requests for anime shows.
I included title, tvdb id, status and type of show.
They have all been rejected because: "Notes from the handler: A show must have either a Network or a Web Channel".
If i had known that I really had to do that to,
I would have taken the effort of putting that in.
I thought providing the tvdb id would be sufficient.
When looking up those shows on tvdb all of them do have a network.
Is it possible for me the edit the requests I made after being rejected and provide the network?
Or do I have to it all over again?

If I handle requests I enter missing networks myself, but I guess you need to make the request again now, sorry :(

No, remember that you can still approve requests that were rejected previously :)

It is not mandatory for you to fill any channel or web network in your request (this means that we have to do our research for a network if not filled in), however we would appreciate it if you did. Giving us limited information, will take longer for us to determine whether it is a valid series or not, so it could take longer for us to accept them.
I rejected one of your requests last night as it was a tv movie and we currently do not support them right now. Straight to DVD's we do not allow too, but I agree that most shows you requested, shouldn't have been rejected. I contacted that specific person for that to not just reject it :)
Has the points for requests, or other changes to how it's calculated been implemented?
I'm just asking as I'm sure my points went up by around 1000 today despite not doing much.
