When two or more actors play the same character like when a part is recast on the show, TVmaze shows the same character photo for each actor. It would be less confusing if when there are multiple actors associated with a single character that TVmaze just use the actor photo in this case instead of the character photo. That way you can tell which one is which and you're not confused by seeing the same photo multiple times.
You could just remove the character photo :)
Its definitely preferable to do this properly, and finally fix this by at least allowing to manually override the character image on episode level, if automatic link between actor and character image is too complicated to code.
That's a "bug" that's been outstanding for a long time. Since you can only have one featured character image no matter how many actors play the part, the best that might happen is that the site programmers put in some kind of "rotational" function. Then there'd have to be a way to limit it to only having the images rotate that you want. Otherwise any character with 2+ images would rotate as well. Although that wouldn't be a bad feature.
You could use some photo-editing program to put the 2+ character images together and then put that in as a single character image.
