I disagree. CBS provides the information in their press releases, it should be included.

Well consistency have been mentioned, and as this have to be manually added to every description I don't see that being improved in any way.
Add to that that the summaries will be unnecessarily long with a empty line to separate it from the actual description it'll just look like a big mess.
To be honest, neither me and Gazza would prefer them in summaries either, so I think like Aidan said it is better to not list it at all.
My 2cents is to have the translations somewhere. I have been storing the episodes with both in the title since the beginning and would hate to have to go looking elsewhere for the english translations ... while I hope to someday be fluent in Hawaiian, I'm currently limited to a few phrases.
Pls consider adding them somewhere, my preference is title but anywhere will be fine. Mahalo.
As a note, users are asking about the episode titles ...

I'd still really like them in the episode titles. If we add all of them it shouldn't be a problem keeping them consistent from now on.

I agree with this one. If we had the option of aka's on episodes i would be fine having them there but since we don't i do think they need to be in the title itself since CBS provides the translations themselves.
We voted within the HC staff the vote was 2:1 against having the translations.
I was in favor of having them, now that even users complain about it, I will talk to my fellow HCs again.

We could follow something similar to TVDb which adds them in the summary thus:
(All Knowledge Is Not Learned In Just One School) McGarrett and the team investigate when a deadly hit-and-run involves a driverless car carrying heroin, and what could be a new means for delivering drugs. Also, Tani and Quinn are stuck with a pair of YouTubers who are brought on a ride-along with Five-0.

The downside to this is that it's less visible compared to episode titles, so when we get the odd summary imported from futon etc it's less likely to be noticed that it's missing- You also ruin the official description bit, imo. So there's also a bigger chance of people randomly removing it.

I don't disagree that the title is the better option. However, if the sticking point is the translations aren't part of the 'official' title, and someone else didn't want a separate line with the translation in the summary, this at least offers a compromise.
I absolutely think the translations need to be included as CBS puts them in the official press releases. If CBS didn't include them, I'd agree we shouldn't include them either, but since they do, they consider the translations to be important episode information.
I'm not a huge fan of putting data in the summaries that's really in no way part of the actual episode summary.
I don't think Episode AKA's are appropriate here. We have those in form of alternate lists already, but that's not really applicable here either.
If the majority feels like the translations should not be part of the titles either, this could be a good case for introducing episode notes, where you could store various trivia/information about the episode such as these title translations. I would happily introduce this in the short term, the only thing I'm worried about is that without a strict policy on what information can/cannot be included could lead to a mess.

I think the majority wants to have it in the title, it was just the HC vote which was 1:2 against it.

Wait a minute! So we could use alternate lists not only for DVD order???

No, it would be an abuse if the feature to do that now as only DVD is available.

Not right now, but theoretically it could be expanded. What I meant was that adding a separate "Episode AKA" feature would probably be quite redundant as this functionality could be covered by alternate lists instead. And neither episode AKA's or alternate lists feel very suitable for this particular situation.
As someone who watches the show, my vote is to put the translations back in the titles.
