Is there a listing of people who have been deleted? I'm adding people I was sure I had added earlier and wanted to check to see if they've been deleted and figure out why they were nuked. TiA

Not as far as I'm aware.
At least not without manually going through the entire contribution logs of everything and searching for deleted people.
OK, txs for the info! :)

IDK why someone would delete a person. The only reason I know for deleting people entries is when they are merged with other entries. Maybe the people you've added already existed in our database under a different AKA, and was merged into older entries afterward?

Would only be possible to trace them via your own edit log, but if you edit a lot, it would be a pain to locate them.

Perhaps but then I would think I would find the AKA when trying to add guest stars. It's also possible it's just my imagination but there have been a number of people I've added that I would have bet cash money I had added before but I can not find the entry. Most of the people I get that feeling about are guests/journalists on CNN or CBC ... I assume there is no rule that they don't count and shouldn't be added.

Only characters get auto deleted if they do not have a connection to any show anymore.

Generally, if they're deleted because it's the same person with different names, somebody doing their due diligence would then add name B as an aka to person A, so if you were to try adding that name, the other name would show as a result.
