Episode name capitalization

I have no idea what you're talking about. What "Part X"? Back on Feb. 26 I changed the episode title from "TBA" to "Part Ten". (log) I can't find any "Part X" in the edit log.

Part X as Part One, Part Two ... and so on, in front of the episode names listed on the official website. (I thought it would be obvious if you also check the official website...) Any idea?

Got it now! Sorry I didn't get it before. @LouisWu answered this already a few posts above. The onscreen info trumps any other info per our policy. Despite the way the titles appear on the official website, the onscreen titles of Season 3 episodes appear as follows: "Part One: Blah Blah Blah", "Part Two: Blah Blah Blah" and so on. That's why they are named that way. Sorry for the miscommunication! :)

No worries, all cleared now. It just looked "fishy", suddenly, from season 3, Paramount+ deciding to change the episode naming. BTW thanks for the info @LouisWu

Anyway, the capture with the name from an episode looks like  https://ibb.co/44KrTMK so what we have, is definitely not what is says. :)
PART FOUR (with CAPS and small), a separator line, and under the actual episode name between " " with a different font and size. My opinion is that the episode name should be just the name between " " (which also matches with the official website and the naming used in the previous seasons).
(if it said Part Four: No Win Scenario - same font... yeah... I would agree with the current pick, but it's not)

PART FOUR = CAPS, a line, and under the "real" episode name between " " with a different font. My opinion is that the episode name should be just the name between " ".

Perhaps this is something for the staff to decide(?) @JuanArango @LadyShelley @MTQueenie @RoseRed @TomSouthwell @TonyMayhew

As with any other show we follow exactly what's said on screen and in this instance Part is part of the title.

To follow exactly ... impossible LOL
Another argument for my opinion: PART FOUR is also smaller :)

That doesn't mean anything it's part of the episode title. It's the way we do it for countless other shows too - it's in the policy, that's what we follow.

Ok, but if we follow exactly what it says, shouldn't be PART FOUR "No Win Scenario" instead of what we have?

I don't think we follow capitalisation but if we do then that definately needs clarifying. Although I will say this will be wonky as some shows (especially animations) may "PUT a TITLE likE tHiS" up.

think we never decided if we follow the capitalization. :O

Indeed, we could get a lot closer by adding the quotes and using small caps: ᴘᴀʀᴛ ꜰᴏᴜʀ.
Multiple lines are probably a no-go though. 😊

@TomSouthwell  What might look wonky to us is probably still very deliberately designed by the producers. So why would we not want to follow even that as closely as we can?

Having all capitals/VaRiEd capitals makes words harder to read and will affect accessibility for anyone with reading or visual difficulties.

So we will just revisit possibly millions of episode titles and correct them to a new policy - we can't get most new users to read the data policies as it is. I feel like our workload as staff would increase tenfold.

The argument would then be show titles should be capitalised as they are shown in the logo too - I think we're asking for more trouble then it's worth.

I'd say if there's a clear indication on-screen that a specific capitalization was intended, we should follow that. For example, use "The one where EVERYBODY got drunk" verbatim.

But if it's ambiguous ("ALL WORDS IN CAPS", "all words in lowercase", "or ALL over THE place"), ignore it.

it is fixed :)

Thanks Juan 👍

The links I gave show what it looked like before your fix. That way everyone can decide for themselves if using the smaller, less obvious capitals is worth further investigation.

While I respect your intention to follow on-screen titles to the letter, even if it makes your data different from any other source out there, the colon ":" is not a part of the on-screen name. The same is true for The Mandalorian by the way, there's no colon in the on-screen titles.

I partly agree with you, but as we cannot use the "line" that divides it I suggested we use a colon.
