The Three Stooges!

Today, I received the following message: Marked for deletion

New

The show The Three Stooges that you follow has been scheduled for deletion. If you believe this is in error, please report it on our forums.

So, I am doing just that, reporting what I feel would be a mistake.  True, most of their "episodes" aired, like most serials back in the day, not on television in their first run, but in cinemas, however, thanks to Lucille Ball, my generation grew up watching Curly, Moe, Larry, Shemp & co. as "reruns" on television.  So, they definitely belong on TVMaze, in my opinion.  Do YOU agree?

Unfortunately for the Stooges, we only track and list original runs. Since the films, shorts, and whatnot premiered in threaters decades before they were on television, it is outside our purview.

Please keep The Three Stooges! I agree with RickWilson777. These episodes are a huge part of Television history even though they premiered in movie theaters. I watched them almost daily growing up, seeing the same episodes multiple times.

I am a TVmazer through and through. But, I believe we should include this series either as an exception or expand the our inclusion policy for older shows like this beginning before Television hardly started. I know any "exception" can open up a can of worms. But, The Three Stooges are worth it.

All of the Stooges (Curly, Moe, Larry, and Shemp) would be excited and amused we are still discussing their work. As Curly would exclaim, "Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!"

Please reconsider deleting The Three Stooges. Thanks as always.

Joe

We won't be changing our mind on this, or else people will be asking for other exceptions too.

Understood...

But, the information is priceless and just to throw it all away is a waste. There are 26 seasons of 190 episodes curated with cast members, episodes images, and episode summaries. Seven TVmazers have put in a tremendous effort and hours of time to update The Three Stooges with 61 pages in the Edit Log since 2015. The seven are JuanArango, Jan, deleted, bungle, Balumedve, RoseRed, and kolbdog323

If all this cannot be on TVMaze.com, why can't all this be saved somewhere? There has to be some place for this. It is a shame to just loose it.

Question: Could TVmaze create access to all series in the Deleted database where updates would be prohibited? This would simply be a look-up reference method using the Search field at the top of each TVmaze page or access the Deleted database directly.

I am sorry to be a pest. But this seems important. Thanks for what all of you do.
