Should one approve their own show requests or is it better to have an arms length process where a second set of eyes reviews/handles new show requests? txs
Self Approval
its fine to approve your own request :)
Show Rejected
Prior to making a mess, can I bounce a few of my decisions off you before they get done?
https://www.tvmaze.com/request/view?id=19556
I would reject this as it fails
1. The show must give credit to at least 1 cast member and at least 2 crew members,
2. One of the credited cast- or crew members must be credited in another curated show,
3. proof not in the request comments that the show meets our requirements,
4. perhaps other fails, I stopped after these
Would my reject be correct IYHO?
txs for yer time
Yes, rejecting this would be perfectly ok :)

Upstart Crow
Hello, why are all the episodes from Upstart Crow series 2 listed as aired on 11th September 2017? It is impossible to air 6 episodes in a day
They were released all at the same day on the BBCiplayer :)
Each episode normally release to the BBC iPlayer soon after air date
In this case they were all premiered on one day on the iplayer, :)
Why would people be allowed to see episodes before it's air date?
Sometimes networks decide to air episodes online before they air on TV. And our policy says if they do it for the whole season we use those as the premier airdates.
Pointless Celebrities
Hello, why have my edits for Pointless Celebrities keep getting reverted? It's getting annoying now.
Thanks
Jay
Please let me know what you think needs changing and I will take a look if you are correct.
The Christmas Special episode that transmitted on 23rd December keeps getting reverted to a special from a series episode
I think you are referring to this episode?
http://www.tvmaze.com/episodes/1370335/pointless-celebrities-s11-special-christmas-special
This is listed as SPECIAL, but each Special needs to be tied to a season.
Do you understand that?
I know it's a series 11 special, but BBC list it as Series 11 episode 1
They say both, they say its a special and they say its Series 11.1.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09kkk9l/pointless-celebrities-series-11-1-christmas-special
Let us wait for the next episode then we can be sure how to list it.
The next episode would be listed as series 11 episode 2 but it would be after series 10 has been completed
As i said, let us wait a bit, I also contacted our UK expert, hope he will reply to me soon.
Hello, can the Series 11 Christmas Special that aired on 23rd December 2017 be changed from a special to a regular episode as series 11 episode 1 please?
It is episode 1 of season 11, but to list it as a season 11 episode would mean episodes would not be listed in the order they aired and this is against our policy, sorry.
It aired in December, but season 10 episodes have been airing after it
No BBC listed the Christmas Special as episode 1 of season 11, so this one will be episode 2
We explained this many times now, please let it go.
The Christmas Special is not a special, it's a normal episode like the others but in the 11th series. This is because series 10 was recorded during 2016 and therefore they couldn't have recorded 2 Christmas Specials and a Winter Olympics edition during those recordings.
So can the Christmas Special be re-listed as series 11 episode 1 please?
I told you that after the Christmas special season 10 episodes have been aired, so according to our policy it cannot be changed.
That was the BBC's choice, TV maze should list the episodes identical to how the BBC iplayer and scheduling lists them
no, we list them according to airdate, that is our policy.
So does it matter what series the episode is list in or not?
no, the policy states episodes are ALWAYS ordered after airdate, please let it go, I will not debate this any further.
