Ratings Roundup Week of April 15, 2018

CBS announced renewals for its dramas last week, fans of Scorpion and Criminal Minds should be worried as neither program was on the list and both wrapped their seasons last week as well. No word yet on the majority of the Eye's comedy slate, though you can count Living Biblically as done since it was removed from the schedule.

ABC wrapped the series for Scandal last week, and the series went out on a high note with some of its best numbers in weeks. Grey's Anatomy was renewed last week as well, a move that surprised no one. Roseanne only lost a tenth from the week before and may be settling in its ratings now. Interestingly Alex, Inc ran an episode behind Roseanne and put up good numbers as a result. The episode that aired in its normal slot, was at the usual low.

NBC ran three nights of The Voice last week as one of two schedule shake-ups. The other was the sudden removal of Taken which was replaced with an episode of Blindspot. Taken fans should look for the remaining episodes to air in June. Rise held steady, but probably won't be enough to save it. AP Bio and Timeless are mostly likely done.

NBC and FOX are still playing close to the vest with their renewals, CBS only has comedies left to confirm and the CW has already announced for most of their slate. How have your favorites done this season?

@gmpugs. Up fronts are the week of May 7, so everyone will know by May 11ish at the latest what's renewed or canceled.

@SilverSurfer, that's how I'm feeling about Living Biblically as well.It just would have been nice to finish up the episodes filmed, but oh well.

SilverSurfer posted 6 years ago

@gmpugs Living Biblically was growing on me as well but I won't be shedding any tears over it's demise. LA to Vegas is also, so far, quirky enough to keep my attention and future seasons would be welcome. Champions seems a bit over the top at times but I have also come to enjoy it ... and I know it's time is also going to be over soon. Alex, Inc & Splitting Up Together just aren't working for me so far ... I'll keep watching, eventually, but they just aren't clicking.

Bummer about Living Biblically, I thought it was somewhat cute. When will Fox make their announcements? I hope LA to Vegas gets a new season.

@LadyShelley I heard a rumour that I just made up here and now that they are looking at a crossover movie between Rambo, Rocky, Lethal Weapon & Die Hard ... all the guys join up (Stallone of course in a dual role) one last time to fight Social Security all the while dealing with loss of hair, hearing, teeth, eyesight and working willies. :(

LadyShelley posted 6 years ago

Saw that. Outlets are all repeating the Deadline article which if you read that is "I heard" and "Rumor is" it's a source I usually take with a large grain of salt. If the rumors are true, that's a sad situation for the cast and crew to deal with week after week. It's also being nosed about that Donnor wants to make another LW movie, not sure how much truth there is to that considering how old Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are now.

SilverSurfer posted 6 years ago

Lethal Weapon allegedly in trouble because of bad behaviour on set by Clayne Crawford (aka Riggs) ... could cost him his job or worse, the show it's future. To quote he who must not be named ... SAD!!!
