Chris Claremont

Christopher S. Claremont is a British-born American comic book writer and novelist, best known for his unbroken 17-year run on Marvel Comics The Uncanny X-Men, during which he created a number of iconic characters, including Gambit, Mystique, Kitty Pryde, and Rogue, turning The X-Men from underachieved comic into the one of the Marvel's most popular series. His other works include writing other seminal characters such as Batman and Superman, and The Fantastic Four. He is also author of several novels, including the Chronicles of the Shadow War series, co-written with George Lucas.
