Steven Elder, born Steven Lawrence, is an English actor, writer, producer and theatre actor who has enjoyed a successful career working in UK and US feature films and television. He was born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. His parents are Clifford Lawrence, who was a former coal miner and professional boxer, and Margaret Barlow. In his early years, he attended the Valley Comprehensive School in Worksop, England. He attended the University of London and later attended The Webber Douglas Academy Of Dramatic Art in London.
Steven made his motion picture acting debut in the coming-of-age drama "Get Real" (1999) and followed it up with prominent supporting roles in Good (2008) and Echelon Conspiracy (2009). He has starred in a long list of TV series, appearing in the BBC TV Series "Robin Hood" (2006-2010) and "The Hour" BBC (2010-2013) and "Silent Witness" (2015). He has starred in roles in big Hollywood productions such as "The King" (2019). More recently he has been playing roles in television shows "The Winter King" (2023) and "The Bay" (2021).
