No, it does not. I've seen that before, more than once. Hell, I've seen weirder things :)
But of course you could always write a letter to Netflix media relations and ask them for an explanation.

Well, let's wait than until someone watches both and gives a conclusion.

Fine by me, as soon as you or anyone else will present any official press release or other proof, that show actually premiered somewhere in 2018. Share it with us and we'll gladly change the show's properties according to new data. I know two things for sure: the show premiered on Netflix on 2020-02-22 and next will be premiering on Discovery Canada on 2020-02-28, @08:00PM. Feel free to do a research and find any earlier airdates, and it will be considered of course.

Uhm considering the photos Netflix uses for their episodes, they do look similar to the same exact people as Reelz uses for theirs, so I may think they are the exact same series.

Reelz trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl2DKyHmNuk

Netflix Episode: https://www.netflix.com/title/81002216

Also check the first few seconds, the intro of reelz; https://www.netflix.com/watch/81013987?trackId=14277283&tctx=0%2C1%2C68884d82-7def-4196-ab38-92ab62eae486-23384472%2C%2C

So i'll change the one we have for netflix to Reelz.

Hmm, on Netflix itself this documentary is from the year 2018 - https://www.netflix.com/title/81002216. Why then do we have the premiere and 2020? It’s strange. Or is it another documentary? There is still some kind of documentary on TVDB from 2020 - https://www.thetvdb.com/series/the-lost-unabomber-tapes - isn't it the same, just with a different breakdown of the episodes, 2х90 vs. 4х45?

I've changed it. It's the same show.

From what I saw on Netflix, the year indicated on the card almost always coincided with the year the series or movie was released. And this year, and in the past, and two years ago. I don’t argue that there could have been a discrepancy before, but you are now seriously saying that the year of the beginning of production can be put on the card of the series, and what is the order of things for you?

That is, when the whole article you mentioned is full of dozens of red letters N, and this particular series N is missing, does this also mean nothing to you?

Thanks :)

But unfortunately, this still does not explain why 2018 is indicated on Netflix itself.

Okay, let's consider this a common weird mistake.

I wouldn't be surprised if the documentary was already finished in 2018, but didn't get picked up by anyone until 2020. Curiosity does it too and I think that would be the most logical explanation for it.

The show name should be changed as well then, Reelz have it under a different title.

Also I've found an article connecting the dots https://playbackonline.ca/2020/01/27/netflix-takes-intl-rights-for-yap-films-unabomber-docuseries/

Thanks! I think the case is closed :)

Shows three episode summaries should be moved to "Recap" ?  In Plain Sight (British TV series) https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/22879/in-plain-sight

Let me know if/how I can do it to show proper credit, etc.  I can input short summaries after.  Thanks!

you can just copy/paste them into recaps and then overwrite the summaries :)

of course, if they are copied they are forbidden :)

I've replaced them with short summaries from BritBox.
