Ratings Roundup Week of March 31, 2019

NBC wrapped two shows last week. This Is Us topped the chart for the network, up a tenth from the previous week. No word on a renewal yet, but another season is a no-brainer. Will & Grace also wrapped, even with where's it's been most of the season. It was renewed for an eleventh season last year, though it has not been the standout ratings winner the network was hoping for. The Enemy Within and Abby's were both steady. The Enemy Within should see a season two nod, Abby's will probably sink into obscurity once its initial ten episodes are aired.

ABC had a quiet week. The Rookie was steady with previous weeks. Whiskey Cavalier gained a tenth. The Fix lost a tenth. All three are hanging by a thread. The Fix is likely done. Whiskey Cavalier might survive as a summer series. The Rookie could see a second season based off the following of Nathan Fillion.

CBS had a few last bites of the NCAA Basketball apple last week. Magnum PI wrapped its season even with previous weeks. One thing you can say for the show, it is consistent, and sometimes that's all a network wants. Million Dollar Mile slipped a tenth from its premiere. Bull lost a tenth from its last episode as well. The series is in its third season and will likely be renewed for a fourth, but unless those numbers come up, it won't see a fifth. All of the NCIS shows should see easy renewals, the same for Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods. Fam could go either way depending on how CBS sorts its comedies for next year, none of the new comedy shows have done particularly well.

FOX had a scattering of new episodes in with the reruns. Proven Innocent is likely done. There's consistent and then there's consistent and low. Proven Innocent has struggled to gain more than a couple of million viewers. Mental Samurai was even with the previous week. It's not doing well, either, but reality shows are cheap, so it may survive as summer schedule fodder. Empire and Star each gained a tenth and should be easy renewals. The Cool Kids and Last Man Standing are in no danger.

The CW had one premiere last week. In The Dark opened to middling numbers. It may survive as a summer show, but it won't make the Fall schedule with those numbers, never mind the already crowded schedule the network is dealing with. Supernatural topped the ratings chart last week. And that sound you heard was the sigh of relief from the network execs as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was finally laid to rest.
