NBC was the first network to cancel one of its freshman series' last week. Sunnyside will air one more week on the network, then the remaining episodes will be pushed off to NBC.com (not even Hulu. Ouch!) Perfect Harmony is in for a similar fate. Bluff City Law lost another tenth and its likely done as well. So far it looks like a shut out for the new shows on the Peacock. The Blacklist also lost a tenth, things are not looking good for Red and company.

ABC had a good Saturday night with the Michigan Penn State game taking the top spot for the network last week. The good news for fans of Stumptown and Emergence is neither show lost anything last week, but both shows are still in trouble. Expect Emergence to go before Stumptown, but neither will likely see another season. Mixed-ish was right with its parent show, Black-ish, but neither had a good week, losing a tenth each.

CBS feasted on an NFL overrun last week that carried over to most of its Sunday night programming. 60 Minutes gained almost a rating point and a half. God Friended Me was up two tenths, NCIS: Los Angeles and Madam Secretary were up a tenth. Bob (Hearts) Abishola and All Rise were steady. Carol's Second Act and Evil both gained a tenth. Time will tell if that's enough for episode extensions. It's rather telling that the Friday night lineup for The Eye all had a higher number of viewers than any of the new shows. SEAL Team was steady while SWAT lost a tenth. Both are in the magic third season, so SWAT fans don't have too much to worry about, assuming the numbers don't drop any lower.

FOX was the first network to outright renew a freshman show. Bless The Harts was renewed for a second season; the network likes that Sunday night animation line-up it seems. Prodigal Son lost a tenth after it was announced it had an episode extension. 9-1-1 lost three tenths from the previous week. The Masked Singer gained two tenths.

The CW premiered the final season of Arrow last week. Numbers for Oliver and company were steady with last season. All of the other CW shows saw a slight dip from their premieres, the exceptions were Batwoman which lost two tenths and Dynasty, which frankly can't get much lower.

One cancellation and one renewal so far for the freshman shows. How are your favorites doing so far this season?

Thank you, LadyShelley!
Sad that SunnySide is pretty much dead on that its moved to online only, and Will&Grace got called up to finish out its last season now.
