ABC premiered For Life last week to middling numbers. Assuming it doesn't drop much, it may squeak a renewal, but the odds aren't looking good. The Oscars topped the ratings chart, though still more than two full ratings points lower than last year's awards. Part of that is certainly the changing television viewing landscape, but the larger issue is viewers simply don't care. Mixed-ish and Stumptown were steady, but low. Renewal chances are fading for both shows. Black-ish managed to pick up a tenth from its last new episode.

CBS premiered the latest season of Survivor last week even with where it started in the Fall. The Unicorn picked up a tenth from the previous week as did Carol's Second Act. Bob (Hearts) Abishola was even. While the freshman comedies are doing fairly well, the same can't be said for the new dramas. All Rise may squeak a second season, the same can't be said for Tommy, it's likely done after its initial episode order. MacGyver held its premiere audience, Hawaii Five-0 was steady, both shows should be easy renewals for the network.

NBC had a workmanlike week last week. The network did announce the renewal of Superstore for a sixth season. Brooklyn Nine-Nine shed two tenths off its premiere numbers. It's already renewed for another season, but the network execs must be getting twitchy. Law & Order: SVU keeps chugging along; it gained a tenth, while Manifest lost a tenth. Lincoln Rhyme was steady, Indebted lost a tenth it couldn't afford. Both shows are likely done in a few weeks.

FOX had a split schedule of repeats to new episodes. The Masked Singer dropped two tenths off the new episode in its normal time slot last week, but still topped the rating chart by a good margin. LEGO Masters dropped four tenths. 9-1-1 Lone Star lost three tenths but isn't in any danger. Prodigal Son and Deputy both lost a tenth. If it does come down to the network deciding to only keep one of these two shows, chances are, Prodigal Son would get the renewal nod over Deputy.

The CW saw The Flash retain the top spot last week even though it lost two hundred thousand viewers. That was the good news. The bad news? Not only did repeats of Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Whose Line Is It, Anyway do better than new episodes of Charmed and Dynasty in the same time slots (by a wide margin), but the Penn & Teller repeat was higher rated than just about every other new episode on the network last week. Ouch. Katy Keene lost a tenth and one hundred thousand viewers off its premiere, chances are, though, the network will renew it anyway.

Up-fronts are only a couple of months away. Decisions have already been made on most programs currently airing even if the networks are keeping mum for the most part. Will your favorites live to see another season?

Thank you!!
The Goldbergs should be easily renewed. Schooled is getting into the danger zone, but as long as it stays where it is, it should be fine.
While I like Prodigal Son and Deputy, if I had to pick which gets a second season, my choice would be Prodigal Son. Lincoln Rhyme, I'm watching the remaining episodes, I don't think I'll miss it if it gets cancelled. The shows I like on CW are all renewed, the ones I like on CBS are, or are projected to be, and I'm hoping The Goldbergs and Schooled get at least one more season.
